Artist Spotlight – About Papon
โ
The Sound of Soul, the Voice of the East
Angaraag “Papon” Mahanta is not just a singer — he’s a genre unto himself.
With roots in Assamese folk, a mastery of Hindustani classical, and an effortless reach into indie-electronica, Papon’s voice has touched hearts across generations. From Moh Moh Ke Dhaage to Banao Banao, from Coke Studio to movie soundtracks — every note he sings carries depth, warmth, and nostalgia.
This September, he brings that voice live to Dehradun for an unforgettable evening of music and magic.
